Buildings lined up in Hopovska street in Borča were built on a low, extremely floodable area. During high water level of the river Danube and neighboring canals water gets into the basements making them unusable. Special hydroinsulation placed on the walls and floors of the basement rooms enabled their normal usage.
Works were done in the period August-September 2008:
- Removing water from the basement area;
- Removing water from the basement of neighboring building and stopping further water penetration through the walls;
- Plastering walls with waterproof mortar made according to our own recipe;
- Making waterproof concrete screed on the floor of the building, according to our own recipe.
